PhishHunter Notifications

PhishHunter notifications allow an Infosec IQ admin to send follow up communication learners who report emails via PhishNotify. Notifications can be sent manually from the Analyst Console, or they can be automated by using an orchestration center rule. For more information, see PhishHunter Overview.

Create a Notification

1. Navigate PhishNotify & PhishHunter > Notifications.
2. Click New Notification. Alternatively, you can clone an existing notification.
3. In the Notification Information section provide the following:
   • Notification Name: the name displayed in the Infosec IQ admin portal.
   • Subject line: the subject line of the notification email learners will receive.
4. Complete the body of the notification message. Variables can be used to reference information about the reported email in the notification. See PhishHunter Notification Variables for a list of available variables.
5. (Optional) Click “Preview In Browser” or “Email Preview To Me” if you want to see what the notification will look like.
6. Click the Save button when you are finished.

Send a Notification to a Learner

Once a notification has been created, it can be sent to a learner who has reported a suspicious email. To send a notification:

1. Navigate PhishNotify & PhishHunter > Analyst Console.
2. Click the “Send Notification” button on any email.
3. A popup will appear where you can select which notification should be sent.
4. Click Send Notification.
5. The learner will receive the selected notification email.
